A brief overview
The Supply Planner is responsible for end-to-end supply planning within the assigned production area, ensuring alignment between demand, capacity, and material availability. This role develops and executes short- and long-term plans to meet customer requirements while optimizing service, cost, and efficiency. The Supply Planner works cross-functionally to proactively identify risks, resolve constraints, and drive continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Supply Planning & Execution Develop and execute short- and long-term supply plans to meet demand. Translate supply plans into production orders and ensure smooth handoff to scheduling. Monitor plan vs. execution performance and resolve gaps proactively.
- Capacity & Scenario Planning Perform RCCP and scenario planning to balance demand and capacity. Identify constraints and recommend mitigation strategies. Support decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Materials & Inventory Ensure material availability aligned with production plans. Communicate shortages, risks, and changes proactively. Partner with procurement and warehouse to optimize inventory.
- Cross-Functional Alignment Act as central point of contact for supply planning. Drive alignment across production, quality, and materials teams. Communicate priorities, risks, and recovery plans clearly.
- Systems & Data Utilize SAP or ERP systems for planning and reporting. Maintain planning master data with accuracy. Track KPIs such as service level, schedule adherence, and inventory.
- S&OP & Improvement Support S&OP and demand planning processes. Identify and implement process improvements. Drive more proactive and stable planning processes.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Supply Chain, Business Operations, Logistics, and 3 years of industry experience required or
- Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or any other related field preferred or
- 1-3 years In Production, Supply Chain Management (Logistics, Purchasing, Warehousing) required
- 1-3 years In a regulated industry with an understanding of the GMP environment required
- 1-3 years In an ERP system, SAP preferred required
- Excellent skills working in a multi-culture environment
- Ability to simulate supply situation and capacity planning
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and to support day-to-day activities
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Expert computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project is a plus
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is flexible in adapting to changing trends in the business and requests
- Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner
- Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
- ASCM Certification or any other SC known organization preferred
