DESCRIPTION
At Unity Lab Services, we strive for excellence in laboratory support services that enable customers to focus on scientific work. As a Site Specialist II, your primary focus will be providing glass wash and autoclave services to support laboratory operations. You'll play a critical role in ensuring clean, sterile glassware and equipment are available for scientific research. You'll operate glass washing equipment and autoclaves, process contaminated labware, maintain cleaning protocols, and ensure proper sterilization procedures are followed. You'll manage the workflow of laboratory glassware, coordinate with researchers on their specific needs, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance. Through your commitment to quality and safety standards, you'll help advance scientific discovery by ensuring researchers have the clean, sterile materials they need to conduct their work.

Monday through Friday
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
What will you do?
- Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry andexpediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing
- Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, glassware processing, biological waste processing, chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation, and media preparation
- Proactively connect with thesupervisorany customer concerns and/or potential problems and address customer concerns within established resolutiontimeframes.
- Engage in process improvement activities
- Be involved with safety programs such as hazard identification,inspectionsand incident reporting/investigation asrequired.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
1 year of related experience within a laboratory setting or customer service is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred Fields of Study: Science-related
- Experience in GMP/GLP environment preferred
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and handheld scanners
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull 30-40 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Willingness to wear required PPE including lab coats, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes
- Schedule flexibility required
- Must maintain confidentiality and uphold company values
- May require operation of material handling equipment
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Works primarily at customer sites, which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)
- Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment may need to be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hoods, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes (requiredfor all colleagues), bump hats, and/or safety glasses.
- Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Regularly useequipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts, etc. to push/pull up to 100lbs
- Regularly required to stand,walkand conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, etc.) for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms, outside, etc.)
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
