About the Role
Modulo Bio is seeking a Senior Research Associate or Research Associate to perform in vitro experiments utilizing induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to identify and evaluate therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. This position will be on a new team helping to enable Modulo’s proprietary immune cell modeling platform, which incorporates human genetics, functional genomics, molecular biology, cellular and tissue profiling, disease model engineering, and advanced computational methodology.
The successful candidate will work within project teams to improve our understanding of human biology and therapeutic interventions to inform early and late stage pipeline efforts. Candidates with an eagerness to work within a highly leveraged, team-driven, dynamic research environment will be prioritized. The candidate will work in close collaboration with scientific leadership and our internal Computational Biology group which is focused on next-generation sequencing (NGS), functional genomics, cell or tissue profiling, and bioinformatics analyses of cutting-edge large-scale genetic screening or single-cell technologies to enhance our analytic capabilities and to reveal the underlying mechanisms of human disease.
Experience in mammalian cell culture is a requirement. Experience working with iPSC in vitro systems and lentiviral transductions is a plus.
