Working closely with the core product team in Dresden, Germany as well as business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams across Europe and the UK, you will be responsible for designing, evolving, and modernising enterprise-scale platforms while ensuring high performance standards, scalability, and maintainability.
Expected work locations: 2–3 weeks in Dresden, then quarterly travel for 1 week to Dresden, while working remotely.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong Java background , including Java 11/17 and Java EE / Jakarta EE , together with proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications. Strong database design and development expertise , particularly with PostgreSQL , is essential, as is hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT and JFace , and WildFly Application Server .
You should have a solid understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles and design patterns, with experience leading the modernisation of legacy systems and supporting long-term technology roadmaps. Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven and Azure DevOps would be advantageous.
To succeed in this role, you will be a collaborative communicator who is comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Travel: Initial onboarding will take place in Dresden and will require a 2–3 week stay on-site.
