The Senior Director, Global Commercial Strategy (GCS), Pain will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping Vertex’s chronic pain franchise and advancing a transformative pipeline in an area of significant unmet need. This individual will lead commercializationlaunchstrategy for chronic pain, including the launch ofJournavxin painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (pDPN) and future chronic pain indications, with responsibility for defininglaunchindication strategy, patient and customer insights, positioning, and core messaging. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Commercial Strategy, this leader will drive cross-functional alignment and help ensure the long-term success of the global pain portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or marketing; advanced degree (MBA or PhD) preferred.
12+ years of experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals, including marketing, consulting, or agency roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
