As a Senior Associate Scientist, you will apply advanced spectroscopic techniques to support drug product development in laboratory and manufacturing settings. This role requires strong collaboration with partner organizations, sound laboratory practices, and a clear understanding of safety requirements. The successful candidate will be eager to build expertise in optical spectroscopic measurement (Near Infrared, Mid infrared, UV-Vis, Raman spectroscopy) for the analysis of solids and liquids. Experience applying these techniques to drug product analysis, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated environment, would be advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with an emphasis on analytical chemistry or other relevant physical sciences, + 2-5 years industry experience.
Or
Master's Degree with 0-3 years of experience with an emphasis on analytical chemistry or other relevant physical sciences.
Effective communication skills
Ability to meet project milestones under general supervision, manage expectations for specific projects, ensure delivery of technology/transfer/submission-ready technology, data and documents.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, especially adherence to laboratory notebook practices.
Prior knowledge/experience of using optical spectroscopic techniques (Raman, FTIR, NIR, UV-Visible) and applying them in lab and/or manufacturing environments would be highly valued for this role.
The ability to use computational predictive tools, modelling software or data visualization tools.
Experience in problem-solving and instrument troubleshooting.
Understanding or experience with quantitative spectroscopic method measurements and chemometrics.
Do not anticipate more than 10% travel.
