Job Title: Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance

**About the Role:**
As a Senior Analyst on the Global Trade Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring Thermo Fisher Scientific’s adherence to global trade regulations. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of our trade compliance programs, conducting analyses, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.
**Responsibilities:**
* Support the development, implementation, and execution of global trade compliance policies and procedures.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of import/export licenses and permits.
* Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
* Research and analyze trade regulations and their impact on the company’s operations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Logistics, Engineering, Sales) to address trade compliance issues.
* Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters.
* Assist in managing relationships with external service providers, such as customs brokers and freight forwarders.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in trade laws and regulations globally.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in global trade compliance, import/export operations, or a related role.
* Strong understanding of international trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, HTSUS, customs regulations).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with trade compliance software is a plus.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CGBP, CCS).
* Experience in the life sciences or high-tech industry.
* Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
