About the Role
We seek an enthusiastic and curious scientist interested in participating in all aspects of the hit-to-lead drug discovery process. The opening is at our new state-of-the-art facility in Canton, MA. The successful candidate will engage in the Immuno Oncology research areas of the company and will work with a successful team of international senior scientists located in the USA and EU. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, excellent technical skills, exemplary attention to detail, and a passion for learning. This position will have the opportunity to make significant scientific contributions to numerous drug discovery projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and execute a variety of biochemical/cell-based immunological in vitro assays
* Investigate the effect of small molecules on the function of T and NK cells
* Independently analyze, interpret, and present data at internal meetings
* Maintain excellent electronic records of performed experiments and work with colleagues to develop companywide SOPs.
* Stay updated with relevant scientific literature and propose new experimental strategies and approaches
* Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members to meet daily operations and timelines.
* Participate in engagement with decision-makers and stakeholders
Qualifications :
* BSc with a minimum of 3 years or MS with 1-2 years of relevant experience in immuno-oncology or immunology in laboratory research settings. Industry experience is desired
* Experience studying human T and NK cell functions
* Hands-on experience with multi-color FACS, PBMC, MLR, ELISA, western blot and cell-based assays to analyze immune cells in a BSL2 laboratory.
* Small molecule and antibody experience desired
* Experience working with myeloid cells desired
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong analytical, organizational, communication and time management skills
* Proficiency in GraphPad and Flow Jo
