We are searching for the best talent for a Principal Engineer, Absorbable Biomaterials and Scaffolds, R &D - MedTech to support our handheld medical devices business. _This role can be located inIrving, TX (strongly desired) or Raritan, NJ & work a Flex/Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on-site_. Domestic relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Our business offers a broad range of products and technologies, including surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars, Aesthetics & Reconstruction (A&R) including Breast implants and sealing devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures.
The A&R business, i.e. MENTOR™, is a global leader in breast aesthetics and reconstruction, delivering science-based innovation and high-quality implantable technologies focused on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
The Principal Engineer – Absorbable Biomaterials & Scaffolds will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a technical lead responsible for application of polycaprolactone (PCL)-based biomaterials for the development of 3D printed bioabsorbable scaffolds for soft tissue applications like breast implants. Mentor™ has entered in a collaboration with a external partner on the development such breast implant technology.
