The Robotics and Digital solutions (RAD) group, part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter for the Robotics and Digital R&D Team. This position is located in Santa Clara, CA.

Within RAD R&D we are a team of clinical, electrical, firmware, mechanical, mechatronics, robotic controls, systems and software engineers who are passionate about improving patient care. The team includes a wide range of experience levels from junior engineers to industry experts. We follow an iterative, collaborative approach to product development, working across clinical, instrument, accessories, and system teams. You are a highly organized and detail-oriented hardware design professional who has a strong foundation in CAD modeling and drafting, with deep expertise in managing complex assemblies and translating industrial design intent into manufacturable hardware solutions. You thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments and work effectively with engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and external vendors to bring designs from concept through production. You have a solid understanding of engineering standards, change management, and documentation practices, ideally within regulated industries. You are comfortable balancing multiple priorities, take ownership of your work, and consistently deliver high-quality results. You are proactive, communicative, and motivated to contribute to the development of innovative products that improve patient care.
