Position Summary
We have an opportunity for a Material Handler to join our team and support warehouse operations. In this role, you will manage the movement and storage of materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. You will handle shipping, receiving, and equipment operation while maintaining a safe and organized environment. This position is essential to keeping production running smoothly and efficiently.
Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM 2-2-3
Location: Winchester, KY
100% Onsite
The Role
- Operate equipment for warehouse activities, including propane or electric forklifts to move products
- Complete production material requests and pick lists accurately within 90 minutes of receipt
- Distribute and store finished goods, work in process, and raw materials according to guidelines
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for warehouse and site operations
- Perform documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders
- Complete material transactions in JD Edward 9.1 to verify quantity, expiration date, location, and status
- Return materials from production to proper locations before shift end for accuracy and availability
- Operate stretch wrap machine and secure pallet loads
- Load and unload trailer loads using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and safety practices
- Attach necessary labels to materials
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and removing obstacles
- Ensure proper operation and functionality of warehouse equipment
- Store materials appropriately and maintain accurate accounting of raw materials
- Adhere to all Catalent site safety policies and procedures
- Safely operate a company box truck to transport materials between warehouse locations
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required
- 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and turret trucks
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures and Current Good Manufacturing Practices
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- Basic mathematical and reasoning ability
- Good documentation skills and proficient reading and writing skills
- Good verbal communication skills and proficiency in English
- Familiarity with inventory control systems
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to perform required documentation on Manufacturing Work Orders
- Proficiency in safely operating vehicles, including box trucks for material transportation
- Individual may be required to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents
- Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment preferred
