Lubrizol is seeking an International Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. This role provides a unique opportunity to increase your tax technical skills through exposure to complex global tax issues while learning from a strong team of experienced tax professionals. In this role, you would be accountable for minimizing our companies’ global tax burdens, leading tax accounting and compliance matters, and maintaining compliance with applicable tax laws. This position, with excellent training, development, and promotion opportunities, would be located at our Global Headquarters, in Wickliffe, OH.
How You'll Make an Impact
Oversee U.S. international tax compliance (Subpart F, GILTI, FTC, Forms 5471/8858/8865) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic and foreign tax law
Manage and review income tax accounting calculations, including non-U.S. tax provisions
Develop and train senior tax analysts and tax analysts
Perform tax technical research including analysis of Federal tax laws
Develop and implement global tax strategies to optimize effective tax rates and cash taxes paid
Support business initiatives from a tax lens, including cross-border transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings
Monitor changes in international tax laws and assess impact on Lubrizol’s operations
Support company positions in tax audits and inquiries, liaising with external advisors and tax authorities
Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results to the team and leadership
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance; CPA, JD, or Master of Taxation preferred
4+ years of progressive international tax experience in a multinational corporation or Big 4 public accounting firm
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules (Subpart F, GILTI, FTC), and global tax regulations
Proficiency in ASC 740, SAP, and advanced Excel
Experience prioritizing multiple projects, communicating results and driving initiatives forward
Experience mentoring and teaching tax staff and/or interns
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
CPA, JD or Master of Taxation
Experience in transfer pricing, tax planning, global repatriation or M&A
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment
