Job Description

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is proactively seeking a **Laboratory Technician** to temporarily join our Naperville site. This position will be offered as a **t _emporary position_** that will support the laboratory processing samples from **July- December.** The Laboratory Technician will need a solid understanding of microbiological techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, repetitive environment. Sucessful training for position must be completed within two weeks of the start date. Training will consist of filtering and plating biological concentrates. _**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**_

• Perform routine microbiological laboratory procedures and analyses
• Maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of lab equipment
• Isolate and make cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms
• Document all data and results in specified forms
• Conduct microbial analyses of samples collected from various sources
• Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines
• Prepare specimens and samples for testing
• Work in compliance with laboratory safety standards
• Prepare detailed reports of laboratory results and findings
