Position Summary
The OHS Intern will support safety programs and compliance efforts at the Grifols Clayton biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role provides hands‑on experience in occupational health, safety systems, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support OHS team with site safety improvement projects
- Update and post machine‑specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Assist in identifying and documenting confined spaces across the facility
- Help transition the Contractor Safety Training Program into the ISN system
- Conduct research on OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and internal safety standards
- Promote safety culture through communication and engagement activities
- Assist with near‑miss reporting, data tracking, and corrective action follow‑up
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
