About the role
Schedule: D Shift
- 12-hour rotating shift (6:00PM -6:00 AM)
- Scheduled to work 7-days in a 14-day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2off, 3 on, 2 off - every other weekend is scheduled off)
JOB RESPONSABILITIES
- Certify to operate multiple processes or grouping of equipment on high speed automated or semiautomated manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in all equipment changeovers or set-ups.
- Monitor assigned processes to ensure high quality production.
- Respond to machine faults and restore to normal operation
- Participate in autonomous maintenance to maintain assigned equipment/area
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality is required per the BD attendance policy
- Maintain equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.
- Maintains an open line of communication to ensure all problems/changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate records as required following good documentation practices (GDP)
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues as needed
- Participate in tier 1 shifts' start-up meetings, 5S, and Kaizen events
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations
- Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
- Support and maintain a safe working environment including the submission of employee safety observations (ESO)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to get along with people and work in a team environment
- Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Ability to train other associates as needed
- Ability to identify production issues and clearly communication to support functions
- Willing to work overtime as needed
Required: High School Diploma/GED or 1-year consecutive work experience.
