What You Will Do:
As an Advanced Welder at Stryker, you will support the production of precision components used in life-saving medical technologies. This role combines advanced manual welding, machining support, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality output in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Perform manual MIG and TIG welding to manufacture parts to specification
- Operate and support fabrication equipment, including robotic welding (Level 2) and CNC processes
- Set up and run production while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce and repair parts
- Conduct inspections using calipers, angle gauges, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot equipment, process issues, and part defects to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor equipment repairs
- Ensure compliance with Stryker Quality Systems (QSR/ISO), policies, and production goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping in line with company standards
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities
- Promote a positive team environment, accountability, and adherence to 6S standards
What You Need:
Required
- Minimum of two (2) years of welding, machining, or fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands on experience with MIG and TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Preferred
- Quality training, including visual inspection of welds, incoming part quality, gage plan completion
- Ability to use height stand, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring system, and other inspection equipment to inspect work pieces
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift 10-50 lbs, occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive movements
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
