Adjuvia Therapeutics
Mitochondrial dysfunction lies at the core of many chronic and rare diseases. It leads to excessive oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, tissue damage, and ultimately, organ failure. Adjuvia is developing novel oral therapeutics to address mitochondrial dysfunction, reverse chronic degenerative diseases, and promote longevity. Adjuvia’s lead program, ATI-105, is a proprietary nanoparticle formulation of the powerful small molecule antioxidant astaxanthin, with unprecedented multi-organ uptake and a unique molecular structure that spans across cell and mitochondrial membranes to neutralize oxidative stress and promote efficient ATP energy production. More than just an antioxidant, ATI-105 contains a proprietary molecular configuration of astaxanthin that potently engages in cell signaling pathways that inhibit chronic inflammation, promote cellular regeneration, reverse organ fibrosis, and prolong lifespan. ATI-105 is currently in IND-enabling studies to treat rare inherited mitochondrial diseases such as Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA), with clinical trials to be performed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and UCLA. Additional Ph2 trials are planned for IVF/fertility and cardiometabolic disease/MASH. Adjuvia is well positioned to achieve commercial success, with wholly-owned issued and pending IP, a clear path to fast-track FDA approval, and a seasoned team of biotech entrepreneurs and drug developers.
